Day 1: We depart Perth
and head north through the Mid West region, pausing at the Coalseam at
Mingenew before continuing on our journey to our overnight stop at the
historic Wooleen Station in the Murchison. (LD)
Day 2: Spent at Wooleen enjoying the relaxed atmosphere of the Outback
and Waferri Dreamtime Stories on the way to Sunset at Windijini Rock.

Day 3: After enjoying the hospitality of Wooleen Station we head north
again on the Wool Wagon Pathway through the Murchison Settlement and on
through Byro
Station across the Wooramel River. Soon we join the mighty Gascoyne River and
follow its course to our overnight stop at Bidgemia Station Stay. (BLD)
Day 4: Takes us to Gascoyne Junction, where the Lyons River meets the
Gascoyne, from here along the Wool Wagon Pathway to the Kennedy Range.
After viewing the
rugged Gorges and intricate rock formations we follow the Lyons River, pausing
to search for ancient fossils on our way to the Kings-ford Smith Mail Run which
takes us to our overnight stop at the Bangemall Inn established in 1896 to cater
for the miners of the El Dorado Gold Mine.
Day 5: Today we travel
only a short distance to Mt Augustus (Burringurrah), the
world’s largest isolated monocline, (twice the size of Ayers Rock and one
billion years old). After exploring around Burringurrah we will spend the night
at the Mt Augustus Outback Tourist Resort.
(BLD) Day 6: This morning we head along the Pingandy track to
the Ashburton River. We travel northwest along the Ashburton River past
Ashburton Downs Homestead
on the way to Tom Price Motel. (BLD)
Day 7: Today we explore the Karijini National Park visiting Weano & Joffre
Gorges before stopping at the Visitor Centre on the way to Dales Gorge.
We can marvel at the spectacular Hamersley Range scenery Staying at Savannah
Campground Safari Tents.

Day 8: Today we visit Hamersley Gorge and Bee Gorge on the
way to Auski Motel. (BLD)
Day 9: A relaxing day spent taking in the spectacular scenery
of this rugged region spending time at Pyramid Pool.

Day11: Heading south today we cross the Tropic of Capricorn
before crossing the headwaters of the Gascoyne on the
way to the Granites and our overnight stop in
Meekatharra. (BLD)
Day 12: Today we continue south to the historic town of Cue
on the way to view Walga Rock and its Aboriginal Art.
Our overnight stop tonight is Woganno Station. (BLD)
Day 13: Today takes us through Paynes Find and New Norcia
on the way to journeys end in Perth. (BL)

Back in time to ancient Australia. In this Year of the Outback, there’s
no better time to get off the beaten track and discover the real Australia.
Karijini National Park, the second largest in Western Australia, is 2.5
billion years in the making. Deep winding gorges of marbled rock, emerald
coloured pools, spectacular lookouts and the dramatic mood changes of
the Hamersley Ranges. Come and experience the green season in the Gascoyne
and Pilbara. Travelling on part of the Wool Wagon Pathway we enjoy the
unique Hospitality at Wooleen Station on our journey north to the spectacular
scenery of the Kennedy Ranges. Travelling on to Cobra Station we join
the Kingsford Smith Mail Run on the journey to the worlds largest monocline,
Mt Augustus. After climbing Burringurrah (Mt Augustus) we travel via
the Pingandy track to Tom Price from where we can explore the Karijini
National Park before heading to Millstream. We’ll then head south
to Perth visiting Meekatharra, Peace Gorge, Walga Rock, historic Cue
and Wogarno Station on the way.
