Birdsville Races Tour

Departures: Dates to be announced!

Departing Perth we head east on a traverse of Australia that takes us through three States and the Northern Territory including five deserts. Taking in the excitement of the Birdsville Races.

On the way we visit the wonders of the Nullarbor, such as Cocklebiddy Cave & Bunda Cliffs. Travelling North thru S.A. we spend a night underground at Coober Pedy before heading East to William Creek and the Oodnadatta track, taking in Lake Eyre South and the Mound Springs on the way to Marree and the Birdsville Track.

The Birdsville track takes us North to Cooper Creek and Sturts Stony Desert. After the Races the Journey North takes us down off Sturts Stony Desert and into the Channel Country and onwards to Boulia for a possible Min Min encounter. Now travelling West on the Plenty Highway to the beautiful MacDonnell Ranges and Alice Springs. Time to relax before heading West once more taking in the marvels of the West MacDonnell's, Gosse Bluff, King's Canyon, Uluru and the Olgas. From here we head southwest across two remote deserts.

The Gibson and Great Victoria Deserts have their own special features to show us as we travel through on our way to Kalgoorlie and back to Perth completing twenty days of contrasts and beauty in the Deserts of Central Australia.
