Charter. Come and see the sights of the Golden Mile and visit some ghost towns along the way, to see "Inside Australia" and the Antony Gormley Exhibition of Sculptures at Lake Ballard. Day One: Perth – Southern Cross – Coolgardie - Kalgoorlie. (LD) We head east out of Perth through the wheat belt of Western Australia to Southern Cross on the western edge of the goldfields stopping along the way to admire seasonal Wildflowers. From here we continue eastwards to the eastern goldfields and Kalgoorlie stopping along the way to look at the historical town of Coolgardie. Overnight at Midas Motel Day Two: Coolgardie – Ora Banda – Lake Ballard Sculptures – Kalgoorlie. (BLD) We tour the goldfields visiting some ghost towns. On the way to see “Inside Australia”, the Antony Gormley Exhibition of Sculptures at Lake Ballard and relax and enjoy the scene at sunset. On the way back to Kalgoorlie we stop at Menzies for dinner at the hotel. Overnight at Midas Motel Day Three: Kalgoorlie – Wave Rock – Hyden. (BLD) Before leaving Kalgoorlie we view the superpit before travelling southwest on outback tracks to Wave Rock stopping along the way to look at rocks, wildflowers and breakaways. At Wave Rock we spend time at the Wildflower Shop, Wildlife Park, (White Kangaroos and Wombats) and also the Lace Place. Overnight at Hyden Motel Day Four: Hyden – Mulka’s Cave – York – Perth. (BL) This morning we learn about Wave Rock before going to Mulka’s Cave at the Humps. From here we make our way to the historic town of York in the Avon Valley, stopping to look at the dog cemetery on our way back to Perth.
